Restaurant
Credit Card Processing
Processing
credit cards in a restaurant environment typically combines
the activity of both retail merchant accounts and mail order
merchant accounts in that the credit card processing activity
is distributed evenly between the point-of-sale activities
conducted face to face within the restaurant and the manually
keyed transactions resulting from delivery and take out.
With a Restaurant Merchant Account, merchants will
have the ability to accept credit cards, debit cards, and
check cards and can also add other point of sale merchant
services such as check guarantee, gift cards, value cards,
and loyalty cards. To process these transactions, merchants
can choose from a standard credit card terminal and printer
combination or a fully integrated, multiple station
Point-of-Sale (POS) System complete with touch screen, back office
reporting and inventory control. These products can authorize
credit cards via an analog telephone line, a digital phone
line, a high-speed Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi for high traffic
locations.
